Underground Conference always has and always will be somewhat offensive to some people. The whole event is meant to be a mixture of satire, zany humor, and massive escalation. While these are mad fun to some, other people sometimes feel hurt.
Prior to UC9, there has been quite a discourse inside the demoscene on how to handle some people feeling offended by art. This discourse hasn't ended, but I've come to the conclusion that we had chosen the wrong communication channels, and things were overly escalated.
It might make sense to pick up the whole "what to do if people feel offended/triggered/hurt by demoscene art and expression", but that needs to be done at the right time and the right place. But in case you can't wait, please check out this website for first aid.
